Jadi Luc Jahayra Luciano, professionally known as “Jadi Luc” is an American R&B; Pop singer of Dance Club, Salsa and House music. She is anticipated to be an important part of the resurgence of the Retro Dance Music & Neo-Salsa movement in New York Metropolitan Area. Early Life Jadi was born in Howell Township, in Southern New Jersey. She was exposed to music at an early age, raised by her single mother Ana Luciano who taught her how to sing and read in Spanish using bible stories. Ana and her brothers and sisters in their hometown Utuado, Puerto Rico was a part of a band who performed from house to house during the Christmas season. This is referred to as “La Parranda”. Jadi Luc was forced to move from the cozy suburbs of South Jersey to the more dangerous and urban environment of Newark, NJ when her mother needed to relocate hoping to find a good job. Jadi is bilingual and can speak fluent Spanish. Jadi also learned to play percussions (Congas, Bongo’s, etc.) while performing. Jadi Luc has found a fitting role model in Sheila E. in that Jadi Luc and Shiela both play percussions and sing. Career In 2008 Jadi Luc made her first public appearances as a performer at the Coliseum Night Club, White Plains, NY and later that year at Le Poisson Rouge Nightclub in New York City as the opening act for Hit Dance Music recording artist Judy Torres. The first song she ever wrote was titled "Best of Me" produced by Cedsolo. In 2009 all had gone awry when Jadi Luc was confronted with the challenge of combatting a Cancer Diagnosis. Fortunately, following her recovery in 2011, Jadi Luc re-entered the music world in 2013 as a Cancer Survivor and became part of the underground hit dance group Flight Monkey signed to independent label under Ivy League Hits Entertainment and Producer Ced Solo. Flight Monkey’s High Points: ▪ Flight Monkey’s first single "How I feel" debut on 96.1 The Beat in Colorado Springs, CO on the Saturday Night Mix Show ▪ Flight Monkey’s "Throw it in the air" featured on Ian Burke’s Launch Pad Radio Blog - Web Radio; talk radio.com ▪ Two of DJ Enuff’s World Famous Heavy Hitters DJ Crew members DJ Precise and DJ Nice debut the underground hit “How I Feel” at New Jersey’s hottest dance clubs “The Show” and “Club Dolce” in Elizabeth, NJ ▪ Flight Monkey’s singles “Throw it in the Air” and “How I Feel” caught traction in Europe, and Japan. The group reach international acclaim until they disbanded months later. Jadi is currently completing her firs
